Emotional Health Emotional health is important but some people doubt the reality of the problems others suffer with. There is no doubt that a person suffering with an emotional disorder is really suffering from something real. In some cases the emotional problem is brought on by physical or biological deficiencies. An emotional problem or disorder can be the result of what is known as a chemical imbalance. This is usually when the brain does not produce enough of a chemical, possibly serotonin. There are many signs that can indicate that a person is depressed. Just because a person is depressed does not mean that they are suicidal. As mentioned previously however, seek the advice of a medical professional rather than trying to diagnose this yourself. The following is a list of symptoms that can accompany a person seeking. It is easy to research suicide warning signs on the Internet. Here is a list of some that we found.This lack of Serotonin can create physical feelings of insecurity, anxiousness, and even trauma in the person suffering. For example, a person suffering with an emotional health problem of anxiety can really believe that he or she is going to die. The person may not be sick or have anything physically wrong with them. This does not diminish the reality of the emotional problem they are experiencing. The person’s heart will begin to race, their heart will beat faster and they will sincerely believe that they are going to die. Emotional Health Medication It may be necessary for a person suffering from emotional health problems to take medications. There are many emotional health diagnoses known to Dr.’s today. They consist of Anxiety Disorders, Severe Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disorders, Conduct Disorder, Eating Disorders, Autism, and Schizophrenia. All of these are considered emotional health disorders, but they all differ in symptoms and medications available to treat them. Scientists are continually coming out with new medications to treat even the most severe emotional health problems. There are even scientists experimenting with brain surgeries to treat various disorders. Emotional Health Help There are many resources available to those in need of emotional health help. A search on the Internet will produce a plethora or possibilities. The best place to start is your family Dr. He knows your family, and family history and he can recommend an outside source if he deems it necessary. In some cases the family medical Dr. will be able to prescribe something to assist with the emotional health problem. If this does not work, he will recommend a specialist that will be able to assist the person further. It may be that after several trials of medication recommended by the family Dr. he will recommend the patient see a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist differs from the psychologist in that he can prescribe medication. The psychiatrist may recommend that the patient see a psychologist in addition to his service, to work on the underlying issues that medication can’t reach. It is not a shame for a person to seek help from an emotional health problem.
